It’s sad to see the other scenes are falling as far down as our’s out here has. I’ve been preaching it for years- PLUR doesn’t exist anymore, even though I wish it still did. People don’t know what it means to actually be “PLUR.” To have peace, love, unity, and respect for yourself and those around you. All people care about now is being considered a “raver.” All they care about is going to parties, doing drugs, and hooking up. Half the people who go to “raves” now don’t know the history of it, what it really means to be a raver, or to be ‘PLUR’. Hell, they don’t even know what they’re really putting into their bodies.

The drugs going around now are as fake as the people doing them. The scene will fall again, just as it has before. It’s just taking a lot more people down this time. In time, people who really do live a ‘PLUR’ lifestyle, people who are ravers because they choose to be, not because they want to fit in with the crowd- those people will still be there. They’ll be there, as everyone moves onto the next trend. It will get better, recover, and then do it again. This is a cycle. I’ve seen the scene here do it before, and I’m sure the global ‘rave scene’ will do it as well.

It’s kind of funny watching everyone on Tumblr rant about this kind of thing now. I ranted on here about stuff like this when half of you JUST started getting into raving. Now you have the same opinion about new people coming into the scene. They destroy it, don’t they? You see the damage they do now. You love raving, you love the lifestyle, it has changed you. And oh look, here comes even more people who want to get into raving. All you can do is sit there and watch as they stomp around, thinking they’re the PLURest, hottest thing to ever hit the scene. This, too, is a cycle. Let it run it’s course.

PLUR only exists if you let it. But most of you people have a sad, sick idea as to what “PLUR” really means. This is why I say: get into it for the right reasons, or get the FUCK out.  People will come, people will go. They’ll start drama, make your life hell- they’ll make raving into some sort of competition. If you really love raving, what it stands for, the music, and how it makes you feel… then you’ll stay. You’ll wait through all the bullshit.

Stay PLUR. 




*Also, keep in mind that as a more experienced raver it is YOUR duty to pass your knowledge onto other, newer ravers. Educate them on what they’re doing, what the lifestyle is all about, and what PLUR really stands for. If you have a problem with the people in your scene, do something about it. Educate them. Pass your knowledge, opinions, and experiences their way and let them know a thing or two.
